Here is a success story of our recent financial workshop at Norwood International High School! This workshop was an incredible opportunity to engage with young minds and equip them with financial literacy skills that will servve them for a lifetime.
About The Workshop
Over the course of five weeks, we engaged 40 enthusiastic students in our MyMarsupium Workshop, which ran once a week. Each session focused on a distinct topic of money management, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience:
• MyEarning: Understanding different sources of income and the value of hard work.
• MySaving: Learning the importance of saving and strategies to grow savings.
• MySpending: Smart spending habits and budgeting techniques.
• MyInvesting: Basics of investing and how to make informed investment decisions.
• MyBusiness: Introduction to entrepreneurship and managing a business.
This structured approach helped students build a strong foundation in financial literacy, setting them on a path to take control of their finances and their lives.
The Impact
The positive response from both students and teachers was overwhelming. We are these students who have graduated from our workshop, each with a newfound confidence in managing their finances. The overall experience of the workshop was rated 7.8/10, reflecting the valuable insights and practical skills gained by the participants.
But wouldn’t it be great if we let the students speak for us?
The Journey Ahead
This workshop is just the beginning. We are committed to expanding our outreach and bringing financial literacy workshops to more schools in the region. Our next steps include refining our Marsupium app based on the feedback received and preparing for its launch on the app store.
